Hello! I'm Chang(Andy) Wei from China. At present, I'm pursuing a dual master's degree at Cornell Tech in Information Systems and Applied Information Science, with concentration on Connective Media, Software Development and Design.

Before I went to Cornell, I graduated from Beijing University of Posts and Telecommunications with a Bachelor of Engineering Degree in Software Engineering.

I want to utilize cutting-edge computer science technology to create software that make people's life more convenient.

I have been involved in the development of lots of software, not only in the back-end, but also in the front-end. Meanwhile, I started to research into machine learning in my junior year of my college and applied some algorithms to implement recommendation systems and computer vision systems. Also, I interned as Software QA and Software Developer, so I am familiar with software developing process in the industry and I am a great team player.

Scene Image Semantic Segmentation System
The system takes in a scene image, perform semantic segmentation to do pixel wise classification, then output the segmented image with possible labels. The website is built with Flask Framework in Python, the backend CNN is FCN and Dilated Network trained on MIT ADE20K data-set. View on Github.
Plants Reco
Plants Recognition System
This is my research project in iVip Laboratory of Tsinghua University. I researched into CNNs and applied transfer-learning technique to retrain the top layer of Google Inception v3 Network on plants data-set collected in Tsinghua Campus. Then I built a website using Struts and Hibernate in Java to present the result. The system can identify 50 kinds of plants which are common to see in Tsinghua Campus. View on Github.
